I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year. Early 2020 will see the launch of the KSS Learning Management System (LMS). The introduction of an e-learning solution underpins KSS commitment to continually set Team Members up for success. But what exactly is “e-learning or an “LMS” for that matter? The term e-learning was first coined back in 1998. To add a little context that’s the same year Google was launched, Titanic won 11 Academy Awards and President Clinton got in a spot of bother! Basically, e-learning is the use of electronic technologies to access educational content outside of a traditional classroom. In most cases, it refers to a course, program or qualifi- cation delivered completely online. A Learning Management System or LMS is the software application used to deliver, document, track and report on that content. Going forward Kennards will take what’s called a blended learning approach to training. This means some programs will be completely online, some face-to- face while others will be a mixture of the two.

This will allow Team Members to gauge how well they’re doing and identify areas for improvement in real time. Efficiency With a geographically dispersed workforce spread over two countries, five states and 93 locations, e-learning is an effective method of delivering learning programs. 2020 represents an exciting journey ahead for Kennards. Our learning strategy will change but the KSS commitment to personal and professional development will not.
