HUDDLE TIME
WE WANT MORE OF YOU!
T eam VIC have just enjoyed their last huddle for the year. Hosting, we had the pleasure of the Preston centre. Rebecca and the teams’ great efforts could be seen from when you first entered the centre. Team Members arriving were welcomed with a smile and an array of fruit and snacks. Though we did hear there was some debate over which pizza chain had the best… or worst pizza for dinner. The Team made an excellent choice by going with a local Pizzeria and everyone enjoyed and was well fed. As more of the Team arrived Azam, our resident photographer, and comedian, took the moment to put us all together for a group photo. When arranging us all for the photo we all shared a laugh, while technology can be incredibly useful, in this instance it presented as a great challenge with his phone making the executive choice to take short videos over photos. With such a great turnout, it was an excellent opportunity for everyone to see each other, catch up and have a laugh. Thank you to Team Preston for a lovely and well organised night. We look forward to seeing everyone again at the Victorian Christmas party mid-November. I have been recruiting recently which is one of the most important tasks that any Operations Manager undertakes, as the successful applicant gets to join the Kennards team hopefully for the long-term. Most of the time we get it right, sometimes we have to start again and that’s okay.
P eople are the most important asset we have in the business and with our current pipeline of building new properties, we are always on the look-out for good people to join us. This is where you can help! Existing Team Members are in effect in the best position to be referrals. Anyone they know who could be the next new Team Member that we announce on the news section of Atlas. By referring a new Team Member you know is a good fit, you save the business valuable productive time, help the business, and are also rewarded at the same time. Since we want to encourage referrals, I thought it would be timely to remind everyone about the Referral Bonus Programme we have for a successful referral.
long as you are not recommending family or someone walking into a centre looking for a position, feel free to recommend anyone who you think would work as well as you. Assuming they are successful like anyone else applying for a role advertised, upon appointment you will earn a bonus amount after 6 and 23 months continuous service with the business. If you are part of the Kennards Team you already know what skills someone should have and their behaviour to be successful in a role with us. So do both yourself and the business a favour and recommend any suitable friends and acquaintances when you see a role advertised – I am certain your Operations Manager will appreciate it!
