Tell us about your career background: I spent the past 11 years (prior to KSS) working for a leading SAAS (Software as a Service) provider in the education space. Having been involved with digital and security transformation firsthand within the growing business in an Application Support L2/L3 role, then transitioning to a Lead before moving to our professional services team as a Technical Implementation Manager. What do you enjoy doing when not at KSS? (Hobbies/ Interests)? I enjoy spending time with my two boys, Nicholas and Alexander as well as our two fur babies. Walking, jogging, hiking and playing basketball. Also a good road trip! What are you reading now? I use my reading time to keep up What favourite foods or restaurant would you recommend? I love all food but enjoy spicy food in particular; leaning more towards Asian food. My recommendation would probably be Manpuku in Chatswood. Where did you grow up and what was it like? Cherrybrook in Sydney. Spent many of my early years going on bushwalks with my older brother. Favourite hangout people when not at work? Family, parents and friends. Favourite holiday destination or interesting place you’ve been to? New Zealand, Tasmania, the U.S. and Taiwan. with the changing space of Cyber Security. What are you watching now? Yellowstone.

Tell us about your career background: I started off my I.T career about five years ago as a technician, putting together and configuring Dell servers ready to be shipped out to customers. I later transitioned into an I.T Support Role via an Internship at Interlinked a Managed Services Provider. I was then promoted to an Innovations and Systems Administrator. What do you enjoy doing when not at KSS? (Hobbies/ Interests)? I enjoy playing video games, going fishing and camping. I also enjoy little projects outside of work for family/ friends like setting up new email accounts. What are you reading now? I am currently reading learning material to get my Azure Certifications, focusing on AZ-900 first. What are you watching now? Wednesday and Ozark both on Netflix. What favourite foods or restaurant would you recommend? Al Aseel would probably be my favourite restaurant. Where did you grow up and what was it like? I grew up in western Sydney. I enjoyed how friendly everyone was and how multicultural western Sydney is. Favourite hangout people when not at work? Family, friends and my girlfriend. Favourite holiday destination or interesting place you’ve been to? My favourite holiday destination and thing to do would be fishing in Lake Conjola down the South Coast of NSW.

SAM RETURNS TO THE SSAA BOARD OF DIRECTORS The SSAA Board steers the associa - tion strategy and activities. The SSAA aims to foster the growth and success of the industry through education of members, advocacy to the public and other stakeholders. S am has been elected to the Self Storage Association of Australa - sia’s Board of Directors. He will fill the Major Operator category representative recently vacated by Michael Alafaci of Storage King.

KSS last held a position on the Board when Darren Marshall was there in 2017 and 2018. Sam also held a role on the SSAA Board for a number of years from 1995. ‘ ‘ KSS HAVE BEEN STRONG SUPPORTERS OF THIS AGENDA SINCE ITS INCEPTION IN 1990

KSS have been strong supporters of this agenda since the SSAA’s inception in 1990. Encouraging higher standards and better customer experiences across the industry will lead to an increase in customer satisfaction, repeat use and long term growth for the sector.
