SKILLBUILDER 2022

November saw the roll out of our annual Skillbuilder training program. Skillbuilder is a one day training event designed to brief attendees on new initiatives or updates to existing Best Practice guidelines. While content varies each year the fundamental objective of the day is to continue to set our Team Members up for success!

L ast year the theme of the program was 'Back to Basics'. With so many new faces across the network Skillbuilder served as a fantastic opportunity to revisit the principles that have underpinned our success. Our main topics included a deep dive into the cornerstone principles that guide us on our journey to become a Famous Household Name. With people that care, who also embody our values, have excellent customer service and offer a high-quality product, I have no doubt we will continue to make meaningful strides towards this goal. We also took the opportunity to further empower teams in their decision- making process. Applying a consistent framework for commercially sound big picture decision making will only allow our people to be even more effective

I would be remiss if I did not mention the tremendous support of Operation Managers Kellie Robley and Darryl Hodgson. After attending the Sydney sessions Kellie and Darryl rolled out the training in Queensland and South Australia respectively. This meant for the first time we had Skillbuilder happening in three states simultane - ously! Thanks again for your willingness to get stuck in. Ultimately, Skillbuilder provides a great opportunity to continue to drive success through collaboration and sharing of ideas, this was certainly evident across the sessions. It is confir- mation of the huge value our Team Members add to the business every day, something not easily replicated by our competitors.

While Kennards Storage continues to grow and our head count increases we needed Skillbuilder rolled out in record time. Having outgrown THQ, our NSW sessions moved to a larger venue. Personally, it was fantastic to see so many passionate Team Members in one training space at the same time! Thank you for your feedback and rest assured we will continue to tweak the larger venue format to best meet your needs. ‘
