MILE END TRANFORMS

Partnering up with third party investors opens opportunities for KSS to expand our Brand and footprint. We were presented with the opportunity to manage a storage site in the suburb of Mile End located in South Australia.

T he operator there was Able Storage owned by the Cohen Group. The Cohen Group are a family business that own and manage various properties including shopping centres, commercial office buildings and retirement villages. Their vision and family values tie in nicely with KSS hence the start of our business relationship. We acquired operations of the property from the 1st November, 2019. A quick Systems Review uncovered numerous opportunities; income leakage and occupancy growth were the stand outs. The property presents well on the corner of a busy road with great frontage and visual presence. Works commenced on Tuesday the 5th of November with the painters commencing the transformation of the building into our famous orange and blue Brand colours. (Jump on yammer to see the progress photos) The build for the new office has also commenced and we look forward to moving into the larger office with improved retail and packing supplies space. With just under 200 storage units the single level facility has ground floor access units and a large outdoor space area housing over 40 vehicles. Our Team comprising of Rob Ellwood (Manager) and Trish Rolls (Assistant Manager) have been busy getting to know their customers and implementing Kennards systems into their centre. We look forward to working with the Cohen Group and being part of their portfolio growth.
