Spotlight On West End

History Kennards Self Storage at West End is a purpose built storage Centre. It was completed at the end of 1999 and was originally Advanced Self Storage before becoming Millers and now Kennards Self Storage. We still have 10 customers from the Advanced Self Storage days. Site Features We have 779 units including 96 wine units and a rentable area of 6,881 square metres. We are a fully undercover drive in centre with driveway, ground and upper level units. remained fairly steady over the last couple of years and currently some of our Queensland sites out of the CBD are experiencing a boom in occupancy which will hopefully filter through to us and the other city centres. Our closest competitors are National Storage in the City. We are currently sitting at 80% occupancy. Our occupancy has

West End has a very diverse range of customers, all of which are quite happy to stop and have a chat, some more than others. We still get asked about flooding on a regular basis and customers still express their gratitude for the free storage and free boxes that were given during that period. One of our biggest customers at the moment is Bio Transport – Bicycle Taxi’s, so the centre is never quiet

Dean started with Kennards at the Fortitude Valley Centre in July 2008 and moved to Manage the West End Centre in March 2009. Simon Started with Kennards as a TSM in August 2010 and spent 2 years as a TSM before becoming the Assistant Manager at Milton and now West End.

Team West End

over any period of time on a weekend as they are out at all hours. We have a huge number of National Accounts who store with us and that has lots of challenges – mainly in the parcel pick up area. The Team Dean Shannon is the Centre Manager with Simon Kelly as Assistant Manager.
