Box Car Rally's at Penrith (top) and Castle Hill (bottom).
R elay For Life is a community fundraising challenge celebrating survivorship and remembering those who have passed away from cancer and those fighting back. Friends, families and colleagues are encouraged to join forces and team up to raise funds in the lead up to their community's Relay For Life event. pants from local schools, businesses, government organisations and the community took part. They walked laps around the area for 24hrs to raise essential funds for cancer. Participants also enjoyed taking part in the Box Car Rally. For a number of years Kennards Self Storage has donated Kennards Boxes for this event, seeing all sorts of creations made from the humble KSS Box and putting them to the test in the Rally's. Relay For Life is looking forward to coming back next year, stronger and bigger than ever. They are thankful to Kennards for their ongoing support. Recently in Sydney both Castle Hill and Penrith held Relay For Life Events. Partici-
T he Property Industry Founda- tion (PIF) brings together the property and construction industry to build homes for vulnerable and at risk homeless youth in Australia. Through their flagship The Haven Project, the Foundation partners with skilled construction companies and other industry supporters to build warm and inviting Haven Houses, for leading homeless service providers. On site staff implement ground- breaking wellness and support programs, aimed at fostering connec- tion, life skills and education. With the support of the industry, PIF changes lives and helps break the cycle of homelessness. Their vision is clear, a safe and secure home for every young Australian. PIF runs fundraising events year-round – including their popular Charity Regattas in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, a do it yourself 30-Day Fitness Challenge, and Tour de PIF cycling event, alongside Hard Hat Days (where companies host their own fundraising events on site), the Coffee Roulette networking series, and regular Golf Days. Other ways to support homeless youth
include becoming a building partner or making a donation. Find out more at www.pif.com.au. If you are keen to give your unwanted office furniture a second life and turn it into a donation for homeless youth, PIF works in partnership with Egans Office Removals to help companies adopt a more sustainable workplace by reusing and repurposing their second-hand furniture, then donating the profits raised to homeless youth. Learn more about the Furniture Fund at pif.com.au/furniture-fund. Kennards Self Storage are longtime supporters of PIF. Currently donating space at their Moore Park centre. PIF are in the process of refurbishing another existing premises in Kingsford for St Laurence House and needed some temporary accommo- dation to store a kitchen that was donated. KSS were happy to support PIF once again.
