AUSTRALIA’S NEW PAYMENTS PLATFORM (NPP): The NPP is Australia’s new payments infrastructure which enables businesses and consumers to make real time payments. It allows us to transfer money instantly using a phone number, an email address or ABN instead of a Bank Account number.

THE NPP WOULD BRING SOME GREAT BENEFITS FOR KSS: • Better cash flow as we would receive a payment immediately. • Quicker Bank reconciliation as the payment transaction would include more data e.g. 280 characters reference, customer name, etc. • By bringing real-time and 24/7, we can offer customers a quick and easy way to make payments no matter what time of the day. Currently NPP applies only to individ- uals and will be released to businesses during 2019/2020. You can register a Pay ID for yourself (if your Bank is offering it) and try to use this innovative payment method now. Wouldn’t it be great when it came to splitting the bill when you were out to dinner with friends! ‘
