KSS eKourier October 2022

MESSAGE FROM SAM

Left: Sam Kennard (CEO) presenting Mike Howard (Centre Manager Kirrawee) with 20 Years of Service in 2017. Right: Presenting Mark Fradd (Centre Manager Caringbah) with 20 Years of Service in 2018.

T he recent farewell huddle for Mike Howard and Mark Fradd marked the end of an era. With nearly 50 years of KSS experience between these two people, their contribu - tion cannot be overstated. They have been instrumental in the development of scores of Team Members who have then spread throughout the wider KSS business. It is a level of loyalty and commitment that is rare to find. I am sure many, like me, are grateful to have had the pleasure of working with each of them. While many organisations and leaders work hard to cultivate this, we were fortunate to have it in spades.

The centres were always incred - ibly well-presented. Importantly, the customers had noticeable warmth toward the team and our business. People often assume our business is a franchise model. That is, our centres are operated by individual owners. This confusion actually delights me. They assume this because they notice the genuine engagement and commit- ment by the team. A degree of care that would come from an owner. If customers make this mistake we are doing things really well. It is wonderful that we enjoyed their tireless commitment and engagement which impacted so many lives. Sam Kennard Chief Executive Officer
